Georgiana Teers

Georgi is a top international hair and make-up artist who spent five years touring the world, working on cruise ships, before becoming established in the Bucharest film and TV industry. She met and married Steve whilst on a course in London. Fifteen years later, after working in the UK with celebrities from Kylie Minogue to Carli Paoli, she decided to return to her country of birth and help preserve the valuable, natural way of life she discovered in Bãla, the birthplace of her grandmother.

Steve Teers

With a degree in Music and Dance, Steve spent ten years as a professional musician, playing piano, trombone and percussion, before embarking on a career in TV, first as a runner on music videos then running a TV production company at London’s Ealing Studios for twenty years. Initially working as a cameraman on numerous international assignments, he later becoming a sought-after editor on peak time documentaries.

On a mission to film an experimental dance project in Bucharest in 2000, he discovered the wonder of a country still only tentatively on the road to recovery after the trauma of the Ceausescu years. Beguiled by the Black Sea coast and the wilderness of the Transylvanian hinterland, and with a love of the space, nature and history Romania has to offer, Steve has been driven to abandon the London rat race and the madness of Brexit, and relocate to the land of his children’s heritage.
